What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to remember information about your visit — such as your login session or your language preference — so you do not have to re-enter it each time.
Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — work in related ways and are covered by this Policy wherever the word "cookies" is used.
Our Websites
This Policy applies to:
- 0.01 public website: [www.001-club.com] — our public-facing pages.
- 0.01 members' area: [001-club.com/inside] — the private area accessible only to members.
The types of cookies used differ between the two environments, as described below.
Legal Framework
We operate under two legal frameworks:
- EU ePrivacy Directive (transposed into Italian law) — requires prior consent for all non-essential cookies placed on devices of users in the EU.
- UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) — equivalent requirement for UK users.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. For all other cookies, we ask for your consent before placing them. Your consent is recorded with a timestamp and cookie preference reference. You may withdraw it at any time.
Cookies We Use
These cookies are essential for the website or members' area to function. They are set automatically and cannot be disabled through our cookie banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| session_id | 0.01 | Maintains your login session | Session |
| csrf_token | 0.01 | Prevents cross-site request forgery | Session |
| cookie_consent | 0.01 | Records your cookie preferences | 12 months |
| auth_token | 0.01 | Keeps you securely authenticated | 7 days / logout |
Legal basis: Strictly necessary — no consent required.
These cookies remember choices you make to give you a better experience. They do not track you across other websites.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| lang_pref | 0.01 | Remembers your language preference | 12 months |
| ui_theme | 0.01 | Remembers your display preferences | 12 months |
| last_viewed | 0.01 | Returns you to the last section visited | Session |
Legal basis: Consent.
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website and members' area so we can improve them. All data is aggregated and, where possible, anonymised before analysis.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics (if used) | Distinguishes unique users for traffic statistics | 2 years |
| ga[ID] | Google Analytics (if used) | Retains session state | 2 years |
| plausible_* | Plausible (if used) | Cookieless analytics — no personal data stored | N/A |
We recommend using a privacy-first analytics tool such as Plausible or Fathom rather than Google Analytics. These tools are cookieless, require no consent banner for analytics, and are more consistent with 0.01's discretion standards. If Google Analytics is used, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with Google and appropriate data processing agreements must be in place.
Legal basis: Consent (for cookie-based analytics); not required for cookieless analytics.
Where our payment processor (Stripe) handles transactions, it may set cookies as part of fraud detection and security. These cookies are set only on pages where a payment action takes place.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Fraud detection and security | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud detection (session) | 30 minutes |
Stripe operates under its own privacy and cookie policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
Legal basis: Strictly necessary for completing a transaction.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, cross-site tracking, or profiling cookies of any kind. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies on our pages.
Third Parties
Where a third party sets cookies on our pages, that party acts as an independent data controller for the data collected through those cookies.
| Third party | Purpose | Their privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | stripe.com/privacy |
| Google (if used) | Analytics | policies.google.com/privacy |
How to Control Cookies
When you first visit the Website or Members' Area, you will see a cookie consent panel. You can accept all cookies, accept only strictly necessary cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You can change your preferences at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any page.
Browser Controls
You can manage cookies through your browser settings — view, delete, or block cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent the members' area from functioning correctly.
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Safari: support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
- Edge: support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies
Analytics Opt-Out
If we use Google Analytics, you may opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. If we use Plausible, no opt-out is needed — no identifying data is collected.
Your Rights
Under EU GDPR and UK GDPR, you have rights over personal data processed through cookies where cookies identify you or your device. Contact us at contact@001-club.com. For the full rights framework, see our Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this Policy when we add or remove cookies. Material changes will be notified via the cookie banner, which will re-prompt you for consent where required.
